Ginger Zee is a new addition to Reed Timmer's team TVN this year. An Emmy-winning weathercaster for NBC 5 in Chicago, IL, Ginger's passion for extreme weather began while growing up in Grand Rapids, MI. Though this will be her first time riding in the Dominator, Ginger has previous storm chasing experience. While studying to get her B.S. in Meteorology from Valparaiso University, she was a member of the school's Storm Intercept Team, a group that chased extreme weather across the United States - including a 5000 mile storm chase spanning the country. Ginger and Reed have a budding romance, and the only way she can see him during the busy storm season is to buckle up and come along for the ride. [1]
